A Fairy Tale
Once upon a time there was knit blogger.
She lived a happy life in a beautiful, affluent Philadelphia suburb. It was an idyllic place with castles and tree lined lanes.
She lived with her Prince Charming, and they had two wonderful daughters.
Every day she went to work to earn enough money to keep living in the beautiful house in the beautiful suburb and buy beautiful yarn. One week she had to go to Boca Raton, Florida for work. There she spent her days in meetings, with no time for the internet, or even much time for knitting.
By the end of the week she was very tired. She was tired and wanted to knit and blog, but the regular chores were waiting. Laundry, groceries, and, since it was November, there were many, many leaves to rake.
She kept knitting in her free moments, but her blog was quiet. Very, very quiet.
Her friends began to worry. They sent her emails asking if she was OK. Because, not only wasn't the blogger blogging, she wasn't even staying in touch with her circle of friends.
One day, the blogger said, "Enough of this madness. I must write. I must photograph my FOs, even my WIPs. No more obsessing about the perfect post. Up they go, every last one."
Despite limited knitting time on the ground, our blogger did have plane flights to knit. With these stolen hours she finished pair of socks started as a part of Lolly's Socktober madness. Mere days after completion these were already well worn, and much loved.
The fairy tale blogger highly recommended using Regia Silk Color and the Fiber Trends Peak Experience Sock Pattern.
She also had some soon to be felted fuzzy feet for one of the princesses who was very fond of blue and green. What a great use of stash yarn she thought (1 ball of Brown Sheep Naturespun Worsted and nearly 2 balls of Le Fibre Nobili Mohair). But will the ruffle survive the felting process?
Also for the blue-green princess there was a quick cap, for perhaps winter might someday arrive in their balmy climes. She felt it important to be prepared for even this unlikely occurrence.
To her shame there was a Gryffindor Quidditch sweater that, sadly, would not be ready for Friday's gala opening of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Despite much pleading, Mrs. Weasley's magical knitting skills were not available. Warner Brothers was offering much better pay.
But, wait, there was a real treasure to reveal -- back at the end of October the finishing mechanism on the Knit-O-Matic was working long enough to produce a finished sweater! With much pleading the blogger even convinced her Prince Charming to model it for the blog.
Isn't that a lovely sight? A finished garment.
Could this be the end of happily ever after? Is all the knitting done? Are there no more uses for her stash? No more pattern Everests to climb?
What do you think?

The socks, hat and fuzzy feet are lovely. Prince Charming's sweater is stunning. Glad you had time to knit.

What a great post, I loved reading it. It was great fun. And the prince's swater is gorgeous, as well as the other lovely items making their debut on your blog.

I would accuse you and Mommy of working together and not spending any time with me BUT mommy never brings home any knitting she has finished. In fact the scarf she started in August is still on the needles and no closer to being finished. So I don't think you and Mommy are working together

What a great post! I do hope the ruffle survives the felting - please let us know, ok? I was thinking about doing that on my FF and wasn't sure it would work.
As of today, I'll be the blue-green princess is glad for her cap! That was quite a quick change, eh?

How'd you do the ruffle thingy? You are the queen of FOs aren't you? All sorts of great things making their debut. Your husband's sweater is really nice, along with everything else. Good job on everything!
